Ancient Cities Tour

Arrival in Nouakchott and spend the night at the hotel. There is a possibility to see the city's attractions depending on the flight arrival.

An early departure is required. After breakfast we drive towards Kiffa. We will have lunch on the way and enjoy the beautiful landscape along the way.

Dinner and overnight in Kiffa.

After breakfast we drive towards Nema.

We will stop on the way for lunch and after lunch we continue to Nema

After breakfast we drive to the ancient city of Oualata, we will see the ancient houses and paintings on them, we will have lunch then continue.

Overnight will be a a campsite outside Oualata.

After breakfast we pack up the camp then drive towards the Elephant rock, lunch will be served along the way. Then we continue to Makhrougat to camp and Set up our camp, dinner will be served under the shining starts.

After breakfast we leave Makhrougat towards the second UNESCO world heritage Tichit. Lunch will be on the way, then once we arrive at Tichit we will have a city tour then after that we drive outside tichit where we will spend the night.

Overnight in the desert

After breakfast we drive towards the beautiful desert of Zig. Lunch will be on the road. Enjoy the attractive landscapes along the way.

Overnight in the desert at a campsite

After breakfast we drive towards the town of tidjikja, then we see the ruins of Rachid. Lunch on the way then we drive towards Maadan oasis where we will spend the night under the starts in the Oasis of Maaden.

After breakfast we drive towards the refreshing oasis of Terjit where we will have lunch, after lunch we drive towards Chinguity. Once arrived in Chinguity we will visit the libraries and the ancient mosque. Then go on top of the Dune to see the gorgeous sunset over the city.

Overnight in an air conditioning guest house

After breakfast we drive towards Ouadane city, passing through the nomad's village Touachart and have tea with the nomads. Then we continue driving towards the Richat structure, the eye of the Sahara. Lunch we will on the way under the shade of acacia trees. Then we go to Ouadane city to aee the ruins of Ouadane. Ouadane was built in 1147.

After breakfast we drive towards the second biggest Monolith in the world: ben Amera. On the Way we pass by Amogjar Canyon and cave paintings. The paintings go back to 6000-3000 years. Then we continue to pass by Atar city. Have a walk around in the market, then we continue to Choum where we will have lunch. After lunch we drive towards Ben Amara.

Once arrive at Ben Amera Monolith we go to a smaller Monolith called Aisha, its shape is very similar to a female private parts . After that we go to the Monolith of Ben Amera. Where we will spend the night camping.

There is a possibility that we see the train as well.

After breakfast we drive towards Arkis . Lunch will be served on the Road. We will spend the night at Cap tefarit in traditional tents.

After breakfast we drive towards iwik village to take the boat to see the birds. Banc d'Arguin National park is a sanctuary of thousands of immigrating Birds from different parts of the world. We will sail on a traditional boat and have the chance to converse with the Imraguens, the fisherman tribe. We will have lunch on the boat. After lunch we sail back to iwik.

Dinner and overnight will be at Iwik's camping site.

After breakfast we drive towards Nouamghar. At Nouamghar there is a possibility to see a lot of Flamingos and Pelicans. We will have lunch at Nouamghar. After lunch we will drive a long the coast it it is a low tide , passing by Emheijrat village and Tiwilit, then continue to Nouakchott. Once Arrived in Nouakchott , we take you to the hotel to freshen up then we go for dinner.

After dinner we bring you back to the hotel

At 10:00 we go for a city tour, we will visit the museum, the city center, the camel market and the fish market.  After visiting the fish market we will bring you to the hotel to pack and get some rest before taking you to the airport.
