Join us for an 8-day adventure in Mauritania Sahara, discovering its stunning landscapes, historic towns, and unique culture. Our experienced guides will ensure you have an unforgettable journey.
Day 1:
From Nouakchott city, will take a 5-hour private car ride to Atar. Check into your hotel and explore local markets and traditional Mauritanian cuisine in the evening.
Travel 90km north to Oudane, a historic town known for its ancient buildings. On the way, visit the Richat Structure, also called the “Eye of the Sahara.” Return to Oudane for the night.
Day 3:
Drive to Chinguetti, one of Mauritania’s oldest desert towns. Explore UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including historic mosques and libraries. Spend the night in Chinguetti.
Take a camel ride to the Big Sand Dunes, about 10km from Chinguetti. Visit the Singing Dune, a natural wonder that makes sounds with the wind. Return to Chinguetti for the night.
Day 5:
Travel from Chinguetti to Zarga Mountain, meeting Bedouin and Berber communities. Spend the night experiencing their way of life. Continue to the Terjit Oasis for a night in a desert camp.
Visit the Benamira Monolith, a prehistoric stone formation. Head to Choum to board the Iron Train for a memorable journey through the Sahara Desert, spending one night aboard.
Day 7:
Rest in Nouadhibou, explore the city, and then travel to Banc d’Arguin for a night at Arkeiss Camp.
Take a morning boat to a beautiful island, enjoy lunch, and then drive back to Nouakchott. We offer airport pick-up services, concluding your 8-day tour of Mauritania.
