Arrive in Nouakchott and start your adventure with a 5-hour journey to Atar in a private 4×4 Hilux. Check into your hotel in Atar and rest. In the evening, explore local markets and enjoy traditional Mauritanian cuisine for dinner.
Travel to Oudane, a historic town 90km north of Atar known for its ancient architecture. On the way, visit the Richat Structure, also called the “Eye of the Sahara.” Return to Oudane for the night at the same hotel.
After breakfast, drive to Chinguetti, one of Mauritania’s oldest desert towns. Visit the UNESCO-listed historic mosque and libraries, experiencing the rich cultural heritage. Spend the night in Chinguetti.
Leave Chinguetti and head to the Terjit Oasis for lunch in this peaceful setting. Then, travel back to Nouakchott, ending your 4-day adventure full of desert landscapes and historical sites.
